Besides the pink squirrel I got a river cooter turtle in today. At leats I think
it's a river cooter lol. I haven't had any turtles to rehab yet, but I had some
as a pet..
He fell into somebody's pool. He brought him to me and I will release him
first thing in the morning. Thankfully we have a river close by. He looks
alright to me :). He's in my tub right now with some thick branches where
he can climb on, eating mealworms:

Outch! I wouldn't even know what to do with an injured turtle!
I'm not even sure it's a River Cooter..could be a Slider Turtle too lol.

AWWWE what a cutie!!!! (yeah I love turtles too, can you tell?)
I have a red-eared who's been with me for a while, currently living in our miniature pond in our backyard. She gets moved inside the house from autumn until the summer again.

Turtles can be tricky if they get in trouble. I'm glad this one wasn't badly hurt! :D

Hehe, thanks. :) Unfortunately, that's only her summer cottage. She spends the rest of the year in a spacy tank beside a window where she can get plenty of light.

Summer cottages are good! I think I'll come spend a summer with her. LOL
I know its an old thread, but yep its a texas river cooter (Pseudemys texana).
Ive done many shell repairs using fiberglass with 100% success. If the body cavity is not shredded the shell can be closed and fiberglassed and the shell will fuse together.
