I am also a huge fan of Cesar Millan. I have a pack of 4 that I have been working with since I found this show about a month ago. I have a 1.5yr old doberman from rescue and she has some fear aggression issues that I feel confident we can work out using Cesar's methods. The only problem and one I have not seen him work with on the show is, we can't exercise her. She has an injured knee and is on restricted activity until it heals. So, now that I have this info from Cesar, I want to use it. Is there anything I can do to take place of the walk until she is well enough? All of my other dogs understand their place in the pack and have no problems. But my oldest who is 7 has had surgery on both knees and has arthritis so he doesn't do much in the exercise department. I don't think this is fulfilling enough. Any suggestions???? Thanks

Hi dobemom, welcome! :)
This is a very good question! I have been wondering too what to do if the
either the dog can't walk or the owner is ill and can't walk. The latter is the
situation here. Thankfully the only problem my now bored dogs are causing
is digging up the yard. I can live with that.
I would say that you have to just let her be until she is ready to walk, but
also don't baby her all the time and make her do something, anything in
order to 'earn' her food.
I am guilty of babying my neighbor's dog who came down with Parvo 6 days
ago. We treated her at home and she is out of the woods now, but she had
3 women fussing over her..poor dog lol.
I really don't have an answer for you other than just wait until her legs get
better and then start walking her again.
Should you find out anything else, let me know!!!
