Well, ok its not really on my ceiling but it would make for a good sci-fi movie. She is a Banded Orb Weaver spider on my patio. She makes a web every night in front of the sliding glass door and catches bugs that fly toward the light.

Shes a smarty, she makes the web just far enough over so you dont get caught in it when you go out. Then in the morning she eats most of the web for recycling. Radioactive dye tests show the ingested silk actually is returned to the silk making glands.
Looks like she is going to get the fairy on the book case

Uuuuh, that's a biggen! Do they have real teeth? lol

I had a wolf spider tapping on my big toe yesterday, poor darling must have taken the wrong turn and ended up in the house. I put her back outside.

I was always wondering what animal lives off fleas, because even they had to be good for something other than bugging our pets and costing us a fortune to keep them away.

I was in a house with a severe flea problem and observed 25 oecobius spiders each with 50-100 fleas in the webs.....oh yeah.

Heck of a lot cheaper than having to fumigate!
