We only got Millie the tortoise shell cat because of my auntie was talking to my parents about getting one for my young cousins and said that this women had kittens and if they werent all taken she'd drown them so me being me i demanded..well pursuwaded my parents to get one, my auntie lives a long long way away and we travelled well over a hundred miles to get her,i was the first to pick her up and we only had her for 2 years and suddenly was run over by total accident... Millie was the most cautious cat ive ever lived with a tiny noise she'd look around and hide..she made friends with another kitten down out road and a cat she just ran out and got hit..
I was the most closest to Millie and i miss her everyday despite my kitten Seb being in my life now, when any pet dies it hits me so hard. watching my kitten play and bully our old Dog sandy makes me laugh but im finding it so hard without her..

thanks for reading.

Sounds like something I would have done hehe.

I also have an old dog named Sandy!!! She is 14 now, chihuahua-cocker
spaniel mix. I got her when she was 3 months old and she's been through
hell and back with me. Thankfully she is very healthy and still in shape :).

Ooh, I feel for you, I really do. :( I had a cat who was run over by a car and it was incredibly hard on the family because she was only two. However, my mother and I got her when she was sick and healed her, so it was satisfying on its own that she got to live that long, when in other hands she might not have survived. Stay strong, she'll always be with you!

One of my 2 Huskies got run over 5 years ago. We had just moved here
and she and her brother broke the screendoor and took off. After 4 hours
or running around like crazy, I saw her on the side of the road. It broke my
heart.

I ran around screaming for her brother and ran into a near by police station.
They sent me across the street to the animal shelter where I found him save
and sound. He had run straight into the shelter! (He passed away last April
from Lupus.)

And that's how it started. I went back to the shelter with a thank you poster
and ended up doing their website and a year later I was vice president. But
politics is nothing for me, so I turned wildlife rehabber instead and foster the
babies the shelter gets in.

I miss and still think about each and every little critter that has been in my life, no matter how long or short the time was. I also try to remind myslef they are waiting for me on the other side. My hubby says when I cross over all the human spirits waiting for me will have a tough time getting to me cause all the critters will be blocking the way.

it some more lol.
