Ok Ive been on this site a couple of times asking questions about cats and the advice is always great and really appreciated so now my kitties are a bit older now (approx 7-8 months i think) I have another question ..
But first I need to say Ive had a couple of other cats in the past and with the 2 I have now have always been male. A lot of people have warned me about male cats "spraying" in and around the house when they get older but none of my cats have ever done this .. In the house anyway. and for this reason Ive never had them given the snip (I just dont like the idea and like to keep the animals as they should be). Isnt it unusual for erm .. teenage(?) cats to spray and mark teratory indoors and out? A friend of mine says it is quite unusual because shes had to get all her male cats neutered when they were still quite young because they were stinking out her house. Is thier lack of spraying down to the way ive treated my cats or is it not as common as ive been told?
oh and heres a couple of pics of them, I said id keep u updated :D

Some unneutered male cats will spray, others won't. I really have no idea why this is. I had one male cat I had to kick out of my house because he sprayed so bad.

I know you want to keep your males "as they are" but if they are indoor cats (all of mine are) neutering will make them much happier. They no longer have the drive to go out tomcatting around, they are happy to be in the house and devote their energy to playing with one another instead of caterwauling all day and night to go outside. Neutering will also cut down the chances the cats will spray in the house.

Cute pics of you babies BTW. It looks like they sure love each other. :)

WingedCat beat me to the punch, hehe. I agree, getting your cats spayed would be better for them, especially if they are indoor cats. If they do spray, it smells sooooo bad you'll wonder why you didn't get them fixed. ><' Hehe.
Awesome pictures by the way!!! I love the second one, the little tongue sticking out is too cute!

Keep in mind that neutering/spaying also prolongs the cat's life, especially with females.

It is uncommon for them not to be spraying, is there any chance that there is spraying going on but you don't smell it?

Neutering is cheaper then spaying and will also curb alot of potential aggression.

Anyway, good luck with whatever choice you make.

im 100% certain they are not spraying in the house .. i have no idea what they get upto outside though .. and they are definitely NOT indoor cats .. they spend quite a lot of outside but saying that would rather miiioooow to come in rather than miow to get out .. between my house and next door theres about 7 cats, and no others that im aware of .. all the cats next door have been "seen to" and accepted my 2 instantly as dominant cats .. dont know if thats why they feel like they dont need to spray or anything .. I like to thinkj im just lucky when it coems to a lack of catty stench :-)
