My b/f found a little kitten a few days ago. Its trying to walk around, clummsliy, but its smaler than my hand and its eyes arent open yet. It eats really good but it still hasn't pooped. I got the milk replacer as well as Goats milk for later. it pees good, but still no poop. Any info would be greatly appreciated. write me at buckshot8338@yahoo.com

Hi Buckshot8338,
Very young kittens require some stimulation to get them to produce a bowel movement. Take a look at the link below for some good information on caring for the little one.

Hi Buckshot, as WingedCat said, you need to stimulate the baby's bottom
every time after feeding. The baby needs the bottle every 4 hours at this
age. Loose the goat milk, it has just as much lactose as cow's milk.
Stick with the milkreplacer and a week after the baby opened the eyes,
start soaking dry catfood (Purina with 40% protein is best) in water, mix
milkreplacer with it, grind it real good, so it's a bit thick, but still fits through
the nipple on the bottle. Also put a bowl with soaked catfood with the kitty,
she will start nibbling on it sooner or later. Once she does, feed less and less
milk with the bottle until the kitty eats the dry food not soaked with water.
Ok, back to stimulation: take a soft washcloth and keep patting the bottom
until it comes...what I often do is hold the baby's bottom (not the head!)
under warm running water, that helps too, but don't let the baby get cold
afterwards!
If still nothing happened, get PLAIN unflavored non sugar yoghurt and
mix it half and half with the milkreplacer.
Does that help?
The www.kittenbaby.com website is mine, (lots of pictures about
stimulating babies) so if you have any other questions..holller! :)
