Greetings Everyone
Some time ago I was a witness to a number of threads on The Squirrel Board surrounding Miss Doolittle. At the time, Miss Doolittle invited me to come and visit her forum. Recently there was a new thread by Velvet Squirrel where she essentially asked the rehabbers on the board to be more considerate with new members on the board. Well, Squerly deemed this thread to be unproductive discussion and threatened to ban people. Long story short, that was enough for me. NO thread or discussion is unproductive if it relates to the subject matter on the board. Velvet Squirrels' comments were very appropriate. I've asked to have my name removed from the Squirrel Board.
I am proud to say that we have a grey squirrel living with us named Miss Suzie.
As time progresses, there'll be more squirrel stories from Miss Suzie.

Hey bluemax! Welcome on board :).
It's funny, I JUST posted on the Squirrel Board, cuz I received my reply today from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department..I was turned down for the wildlife rehab permit cuz of the citation. I'm barred for a year. That means a lot of money, time and sweat was wasted for nothing it seems.
Of course I'll continue to foster domestic animals and non game species, but I wouldn't have had to make such a huge fuss about outside enclosures n all that.
I'm really pissed right now about this...just because some rehabber over there decided she had to get jealous or whatever..and the way it was handled sucks big time too. I was left pretty much in the dark. Not much cooperation there.

Thanks for the welcome. I'm really sorry to hear about the rehab decision. The last incident over TSB really put it over the top for me. Like another member said on your board, it really is a (rehabbers) click over there. Not that I have any grudges against rehabbers, but just like medical doctors don't have all the answers neither do rehabbers. There are many people who have raised and continue to raise/rescue animals without formal recognition by a governmental agency.
We found Miss Suzie less than a week old after she fell out of a tree. She is now a happy content 8 month old member of our family. All without TSB or any governmental certification.
There are many good people over at TSB but the general tone is just something I can do without.

welcome bluemax! i was hoping you wouldn't leave the realm of online squirrel forums. i couldn't even remember whether i had interacted with you or not. i do know that squerly has the interest of his forum as first priority right now. i don't get it. i thought it was all for the squirrels.
miss d i saw your thread. there of course were those that were offended because it cast a shadow of doubt about our dear squirrel board members. grrrrr!!
i added my two cents but i expect to be reprimanded or banned by squerly.

How about some pics of Suzie???? :D
Ya, I read the replies and I don't think I want to answer there at all. I got a few PMs, all naming the same person as being the one who turned me in. It's the same person that's on top of my list of "suspects"...but I don't have enough evidence to go ahead and point my finger.
One thing is for sure..I so very much regret joining that forum over there..as the first member even. That's the sad part..if somebody would get hurt like that in "my house", I would act differently, that's for sure. But this way I have nothing to lose either, which could be a good thing.

i was commenting on a thread on that board and went back to read the thread through. they had bashed a friend of mine for input on the thread.
assholes!!! this is what i wrote.
okay i am leaving this conversation alone. i just read where someone told henrismom that they weren't talking to her. henrismom is my friend and she was hurt very badly. as a member of this board she has as much right to speak her feelings as anyone else!!!
if the rehabbers want to talk in private then put this in the rehabbers section!!!!!
and people (you know who you are!) you owe henrismom mom an apology!! that attack is just one more attack by rehabbers on another persons opinion.

Miss Doolittle,
I sure would like to know who turned you in, even who you're suspecting, maybe a private email. I have Suzie to worry about.
Somebody's Mother,
I knew you had sent me a private message but I could no linger log in since I had asked to be removed from the board.
Funny thing or perhaps not so funny, when I initially googled for Squirrel info last year, the TSB came up as the "Pet Squirrel Forum". Currently they are looking for logo ideas, maybe they should have something along the line of "The Professional Rehabber Forum" and all others shut-up.
I too hope we can get some of the disappointed, insulted and otherwise sidelined TSB members over here.
Rant over !!!!
Pictures of Suzie to follow this weekend.

How do you attach a photo(s) to a thread in this forum?
Thx

You have to have a picture uploaded somewhere on the net and then insert the URL of the picture into the post. To do that, you need to click the Picture Button in the row above the field where you type your message. This one here:

Miss Suzie thanks everyone for the compliments and here is another one of her eating a cherry tomato (one of her favorite foods). Too bad I can only post one picture at a time. This photo was taken about 3 months ago, so she is a bigger girl now!

Hehehe, she looks like lots of fun!
Why can you only post one picture at a time? There should be nothing in this forum that should keep you from posting more pictures. At least I think so. This is the first time I have this kind of forum and there are soooo many options! I might have missed something there.
