This was the litter of newborns on April 6th:

Here are the 2 survivors today, a month later. The smallest kittens I EVER had, but healthy. They are using the litter box already, but don't eat solid food yet:

I just caught a few cute pics as well as a movie where the lil redhead here is hissing and spitting at my Great Dane. I'll post the movie later, it's still processing on youtube!

Heh, I don't blame that kitten for being nervous, considering Olliver is probably about 50 times her size? :P It looks like they are doing well though, I'm happy for you, and the babies!

Hehehe, ya Olliver's head is probably 50 times the kitten's size hahaha.
Na, he was just practicing, cuz he was playing and suckling on Olliver's belly just that morning. Or he figured out how to see better maybe, not sure lol. But no kitten leaves this house without being totally in love with dogs ;P.

Awe! I love seeing cats and dogs interact in a friendly way! :D Which is why I'm also happy that Gus and Kaylee get along so well. ^^

Yes, she sure is, and those bright red gums look so very healthy hehe. She's the loudest now, what an organ! She is about 2 weeks younger than the others, however, the other 2 were pre-mature and are about 2 weeks behind, so it fits hehe.

"Core overload: Warning, incoming meltdown. Warning, incoming meltdown. Too much cuteness to handle."
That is what my brain is telling me right now, hehe. I wish I could adopt them all!

The little red tomcat was doing so great. I returned his sister to the shelter to be put up for adoption just yesterday, because she didn't want to have anything to do with the bottle anymore. This is always my cue that they are ready to find a permanent home.
I kept the little redhead for 2 reasons. He was still interested in the bottle and I figured he would make good company for the newcomer, who needs another week or so before she is ready to go to the shelter.
I bottlefed both of them at 10 pm last night and both ate fine, pooped fine, looked fine. This morning, the redhead laid on his side, heaving. I could hear lots of noise in his chest, sounded like liquid in his respiratory system. He was not able to move at all. I immediately put him on IV fluids and gave him a shot of antibiotics, but it was too late. Once I saw that his condition worsened, I took him in to be euthanized.
His sister is still at the shelter and doing alright. I hope that she will make it through. This was quite a litter.
R.I.P. little baby, it was a pleasure to have you around!

Awwe no! Little Red was so cute and sweet, I can't believe he went away so quickly like that. :( Man, I can't even fathom how you can do all this MissD.. but I guess you get used to it after a while.
