Maaaaaan, this just pisses me off royally!!! Animal Control just dropped him off. They got him out of a dumpster. They were speechless too.

But besides a bunch of fleas, the lil bugger is in good shape. Good timing too, because I brought the last kitten to the shelter this morning:

Any guesses on the breed? Name suggestions?

Scraps sounded like Crap when ya say it out loud, so I decided to re-name him into Kicker! He sure is kicking in his sleep and he kicked the dumpster thing and I hope he grows up to kick the person's butt that threw him into the trash!

I'm certain that he is an Akita, don't detect any other breed in him, but that can change. He's doing great!!! Very strong pup, certainly not the runt of a litter or something like that:

I hope he finds those previous owners too and bites them in the arse. >:(

He's awfully cute though! I'm willing to bet that he'll be adopted right away when he gets sent back to the shelter. :D

oh how i would love to kick some peoples arses for being so selfish.
years ago when i was married to my first husband we were living in dallas for awhile. i mentioned to my then-husband that i would like to have a puppy. he said there was a guy at work that was trying to find a home for one and he would find out. well he came home and said the guy lived in, arlington?, between dallas and fort worth, and that the puppy was 2 months old. supposedly german shepherd.
well we went over to get the puppy and the man had the pup in a box with newspaper in the bottom and a bowl with milk with bread floating in it. the puppy's eyes weren't even open. i picked him up and asked the fellow again how old the puppy was. he then said he was two weeks old. said the neighbors dog had jumped the fence and mated with his registered german shepherd. so he had wormed the puppies when they were a few days old and this was the only one that had survived the worming. he had also given the mother away because now she wasn't worth anything.
at this point my dumb then-husband looks at me and says, "do you still want him?" of course i wanted him. i had to get the poor creature out of there before that guy killed him.
we took him home and got a bottle and milk and a little karo syrup and i bottle fed him. we had a velour covered bean bag chair where i always sat when i fed him. when he was hungry he would go up to the chair and start trying to find a nipple in the fur. lol. by the time we moved back east josh was then about 6 weeks old. as we were loading the car i sat him down on the step and the neighbors chihuaha came running out and started barking at josh. josh just layed down and started to cry. see josh had not encountered another dog in his short life. he had no idea what that was. josh probably outweighed the chihuaha by 5lbs and he was a couple heads taller.
we ended up in ohio and got an apartment where we couldn't keep josh but my uncle took him from us. he loved that dog. taught josh to climb a tree. my uncle always bragged about him, said he was the smartest dog he had ever seen.

if i were closer to you i would look into possibly adopting kicker. he looks like a beautiful pup. good luck.

Wow, that's some story too!!!

Yes, I will make personally sure that Kicker is going to get a good home, because he is not going to leave this place until he has. I will not bring him to the shelter, because last time I did that, the pups died 2 weeks later on Parvo. It's just too risky with so many puppies, no matter how clean and picky you are.

Here is a link to the large version of this pic, it's just too cute hehe:

What a cutie. :)

I too can't understand some people. It drives me nuts to see the dogs and cats that are just abandoned wherever the person feels like dropping them. A lady here in town rescues a lot of dogs, one of her dogs is the sweetest thing you will ever meet, she found him tied to a fence post out in the middle of nowhere. The person had left him like that to starve to death. It boggles the mind.

Kicker is 6 weeks and 11 lbs. He ate himself through almost 10 lbs of Esbilac by now. Since he was 1.3 lbs when I got him, I suppose that 1 lbs of Esbilac equals 1 lbs of puppy LOL. Stuff gets expensive!

However, he is soooooooooooooooo adorable! And look at those paws!

I keep the puppy blog updated with movies too: http://puppyeducation.blogspot.com/

Oh my! If we didn't already have Kaylee (and if I didn't live so far, heh) I would definitely consider taking in this stud! I'm really happy that he is doing so well, considering you found him in a dumpster and he looked so fragile in those early pictures!

Honestly, he doesn't look at all Akita to me, although he IS very cute. My guess would be shepherd, boxer, maybe some cattle dog (not ACD, but generic 'Texas heeler' BMC/ACD/Aussie crossbred).
