Some of you might remember me getting two little bundles of terror almost a year ago now.. <
Vlad and Ghengis are now VERY healthy and very settled here at home and have even moved in on the big ginger tom next door. Although they are absolute opposites of each other they are almost inseperable http://img409.imageshack.us/img409/8495/dsc00365zt4.jpg (http://imageshack.us)
but anyway...
Something ive noticed with these 2 is that when I spend some time stroking them, they go very distant and start drooling. I was just wondering if this is normal because ive never seen a cat do this before. The purring and the kneading yes, drooling .. no.
just wondering if anyone has seen this with their cats

Hahaha, good news, thanks for the update!!

They droooooooooooool? Both of them? Nope, that would be a first for me too. I see the kittens' eyes glaze over when they bottle-feed and they appear to fall in some kind of trance, but I have not observed that on an older cat. Wow, that's a good one!

I've seen older cats drool before! My cat's mom would love nothing more than to stick her maw against your chest and drool if she was comfortable enough. It was a bit weird, but oh well.

I had a cat growing up that would drool like crazy when she was really purring and content. I'm not sure why some cats do this.

Here's another vote for that being normal for some cats. I remember having wet spots on my t-shirt at the humane society from a few drooling kittens.

my mother-in-law recently adopted a cat and she drools too....i'm glad to hear a lot of people saying this is normal....

side note....she was spayed by the shelter....but then a few months later...she went into heat...she was then re-spayed a few days ago..has this happened to anyone else?

Never heard of such a case before ever!!! WOW! Looks like that vet got distracted during surgery or something.

We have a cat that drools when she gets really comfortable and starts purring.
I'm glad to hear other cats do the same thing. I didn't know if it was normal or not. She started doing it about a year ago and I thought maybe is was because she was getting older, will be 9 next week.
