Somebody's mother

i thought i would drop in and share about my latest resident.
i joined the local wildlife rehab group back in april. i didn't get to take the course for the spring foster parents but i am scheduled to take the course this weekend.
well low and behold on monday this week the wrg groups email arrived and there was someone asking if anyone could take a three week old baby squirrel. he was found by a neighbors cat and the neighbor brought it to the rehabber. Of course i wanted him. so i drove 40 miles to her house and picked him up. i also got to see the racoons she was rehabbing. cute.
well he is probably 4 or 4 and 1/2 weeks old. his eyes opened monday. one before i got there and one while i was there. he wasn't eating much it was hard to get one ml. in him. he weighed 73 grams. well i got him home and i have cuddled him and fed him and made him a little warm nesting area and a bigger play area with branches and stuff. he is now eating 3 to 4 and 1/2 ml per sitting about 5 to 6 times a day. he is getting steadier on his feet everyday. he now knows whom is responsible for feeding him and will screech if i don't pay attention.
my intentions are to return him to the wild when he is old enough. haven't made up my mind if i want to take in a friend for him right now. i have a busy schedule and it takes both my husband and myself to make sure that steve gets enough to eat. but time will tell.
anyway, here are two short videos of steve and a pic of steve
