Hi my name is Trish and I'm an animal lover in Missouri. I came across this forum researching opossums. We happen to have gained 2 little ones within the last couple of days, and we want to make sure that we are properly caring for them. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Hi Trish, welcome :).

Do you have a picture you can post? It would be some much either to see
them, determine the age etc.

Also what exactly are you feeding them now? Are they still brownish or
already gray?

Unfortunately we lost Onyx this evening...Opal is still very energetic and seems healthy...Onyx seemed like the runt. Right now we are feeding water, cut up crickets and worms, applesauce, and so far thats it....Opal is eating and using the restroom very well....Onyx just didn't seem all that healthy from the beginning. Opal has a dark undercoat with a gray topcoat of spiky hair. If that helps....I'll see if I can get a picture of her soon.

Also I had tried to contact someone from the wildlife rescue, but I never heard back from anyone...so now were hoping to take care of Opal ourselves...any information would be helpful.
