Here is Meeh. Animal Control just brought her. She was hunkered down between a car and a bush, shaking. Somebody called it in.
She's emaciated, dehydrated, looked like she had fallen into a sewer and is anemic from flea infestation. She was ice cold.
I warmed her up, bathed her, plugged the fleas off her, gave her electrolytes, antibiotics, cleaned the eyes and treated them as well (the infection is minor, looked worse than it was, because the eyes were crusted shut, but no pus behind yet...she was found just in time), and now she's clean, warm and signs of life are starting to show.
If she was not in such bad shape due to leukemia or another illness, and just due to neglect or because she was feral, then she has a chance.
Her cries sound like Meeh Meeh Meeh, so that's her name:

It's great that the Animal Control people think so much of you to bring you animals to care for! Best to you and the new baby!

Thanks! She's coming around great! Already ate and drank and is sleeping now.
With Animal Control it's more a case of nobody else being available to bring the animals to when the shelter is closed. I'm really glad they trust me enough to do so. The sheriff and police officers bring me animals at all times too, day or night, but that doesn't happen too often. It's going to be tough to rebuild this kind of reputation once I move. I wanna stay here! Well, I guess it will be another year before the move comes up, but I'd really wish it wouldn't. I so love this place here.

It's always difficult to relocate and start over. Just look at it as a new beginning! You are a sweet girl to take so much time and effort and energy for little critters. There will always be a place in the world for you no matter where you settle!

Lol, you would keep them all, would you nouri? hehehee
Yes, she will go to the shelter once she is ready. Animal Control works for the City/Police, the Shelter works for the City, so all is property of the City. That's how that works here.

Thanks! She made it through the night and already acts like a normal kittens...but no poop yet! So until that has happened, I can't tell for sure if she's ok or not, but she appears to be a content lil kitten that likes to sleep near a person, hisses at dogs, and goes nuts over chicken. lol

He he he he he........ yeah, you got the point. I don't think I've the time to take care every kitten & cat. Sending them to the shelter would be a great idea & hopefully they'll get good foster parents like you MissDolittle. And another thing - I can't stand the cat's poo & urine even though they do their business in the toilet.
