You won't believe this, but my husband brought home a Siamese kitten. He must have been missing the squirrels.
The kitten was born April 1st so it is almost 8 weeks old. I noticed it seems to have a problem with runny and red eyes and it sneezes a lot. What in the world could this be? He seems to be feeling fine otherwise and is eating well and playing/clawing like crazy. As I am typing this, he is curled up behind my neck playing with my hair. I am getting a little smitten with the kitten, yes! :smt060
We have an appointment with our vet tomorrow.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Alright! :) Did you give him a name yet?
Most of the times the sneezing will go away by itself, just like our colds go
away and I hope he has ONLY the kitten flu.
There are few viruses that can cause more harm. For that please read
this:
http://www.kittenbaby.com/sneezing.php
I made this site after raising hundreds of kittens for the shelter so there is
a lot of good stuff on that site.
Also, if you can get to a feedstore..go to the fridge and buy a small bottle
of penicillin for pigs, the injectable stuff. However, do NOT inject it ever, just
put one drop in each eye and wipe it off with a cottonball. It cures every
eye infection within 24-36 hours.
It's my miracle cure for everything on the animals like scrapes and cuts
and lil infection, hot spots etc.

awww, that sounds cute! pictures would be wonderful. ;)
our cat is a ragdoll, a very interesting breed. she's got siamese coloring, but her fur is long like a persian. they're called ragdolls because they go limp in your arms. :smt049
let us know if she's ok!

Ya, I raised many ragdolls...actually I finally figured out the grip to make
them all ragdolls, especially when I have to bathe the kittens, because it's
rare that I get one that's not covered in fleas.
The grip is almost like this, without the right hand, just the left hand.
Unfortunately that does not work for adult cats lol:

No, no name yet. I tell you, my family has to be the worst at giving names.
We've thrown some around, but none that we like yet. It is a male if you guys have any ideas.
My husband also bought an old sailboat last week. We cannot register it until we think of a name. Nothing yet ...
Now - my daughter and her husband who are going to have a baby any day now, have told us they are going to name their first born son - Mugsy. Yes, you read that right, MUGSY.
I have one daughter (17) who is a laid back hippie type musician, but this daughter (25) is my preppie girl. Her husband is a gangster wantabe ...
Everyone in our family have voiced their opinion about it, but as the time grows nearer and nearer, they seem to be determined to name it that ...
Anyone with ideas about the above name issues, please, P l e a s e feel free to pass them along. LOL

Mugsy?????????????? whoa Where does that come from???
So far all my animals somehow had their names written all over them.
Butters because I like Southpark and because his color is like Butter.
Same reason for Sandy's name. Olliver had that name already and
listens to it so nicely, so I didn't name him MCcoy or Popeye, which I had
picked first lol.
There you go, the real MCcoy or Popeye for a male. My male cat's name
is Gremlin..can you tell why?
http://www.amazes.us/album/albums/new/kittens/kittensinside37.jpg
My huskies names were Nicholai Cartman von Romanoff and Ruby Red
Riding Hood. They were AKC registered so we picked fancy names lol.
If I don't come up with a good name, I take my 2 most favorite words and
mix the sillibles up or just take take a couple of sillibles. Make up a new
word/name.
Like one of my favorite words is Rainbow. I go chasing Rainbows whenever
I can lol. I would name an animal Bowie for example if that would fit..
or I take a character of a TV show I like, or an Idol or somebody
famous from the past, like Einstein.
If I had a boat, Rainbow it would be! I was thinking of Rainbow Bridge,
but I don't know, that could sound kinda negativ too, depends on how
ya see it.
And if all that doesn't help, let google inspire you..those African names
are kinda funny :):

You are too patient with me. LOL
I need to get off here tonight. I don't mean to be taking up your time with my long long messages.
But, thank you for listening.
Rainbow is nice. Your animals certainly find the gold when they come to you.
Our little kitten gets fiesty at night. Just now he is playing a game where he is hiding behind the curtains and them jumping out and trying to climb up my husband's leg.
He thinks we should name him Jack (the ripper) or Claude - his nails are murder! LOL LOL rolling

There is no such thing than a too long post lol. I love to read about you
and your animals!
Hm, why don't you call the kitty Feisty then? There you got the obvious :).

Mugsy.....interesting.....hmmmm......
maybe that could be his middle name, or maybe it could be a nickname for......Murphy? Montgomery? Miguel? Magnar? lol, sorry, i was looking at babynames.com. i mean, mugsy is kinda cute, but it's like a nickname, or a last name, or something. it's not a serious name for an adult.

Mugsy would make a great name for a Boxer, Boston Terrier or Bulldog because of their prominent "mug".
I don't have any idea where they got the name, but my son is law likes to appear "tough". It seems to be the "in" thing here for some young men.
They wear expensive jeans that look as though they have gotten caught in a meat grinder and they are way too low on their waists, tight t shirts, tennis shoes that cost more than they make in a week, strange body piercings and tattoos.
I DON'T like it at all. Is that style in your areas too? I guess I am finally getting old. The generation gap is getting wider every day.
<sigh>
My 17 year old thinks Mugsy is terrible, but reminds me to mind my own business.

Yes, that style is all over here too.. sometimes I roll my eyes and think
"one more buttcrack and I'm moving back to Germany" lol. But it's not
any better there either! hehehe

The low cut jeans style has been popular for a long time here. I keep thinking it will go out of style, but it still hasn't.
buttcracks ... LOL LOL rolling

hahahaha, that stuff is all over my school. since we have 3000 students, we have just about every type of modern fashion statement represented.
the style of dress you're describing would fall into the wigger category, no offense to your son-in-law. i've found that a good way to break the low-cut jean habit is to hide all of the underwear. ;)
if that doesn't work, get a nail gun, some sleeping pills, and a surgeon, and i'll tell you where to go from there. rolling

Anyone know the song "Love Shack" by the B52's?
They made a parody of that song and it's called "Butt Crack", simply
hillarious!!! :smt043

Yeah, you are right. We call it wigger too. I am surprized that he would dress that way knowing that. I cannot see how anyone could stand to have the crotch of their jeans hanging nearly to the knees. Don't you know that it would have to rub the inner thighs? I actually saw a young guy walking down a busy street and loose his pants right there in front of everyone. Of course he was taking long strides. He looked embarassed and just pulled them up.
On the other hand, my husband's brother is 59 and wears his pants so high up it looks terrible too. My kids always immitate him. He looks like Sponge Bob Squarepants. I find my pants the most comfortable right below the belly button. But heck, I am middle  aged.
