How old is Chandler? He's just simply adorable :).
Rocky and Erica look like they were fun and loyal too. May I asked what
happened?
Ruby was only 4 years old when she crashed the screen door with her
brother. 4 hours later of searching and going crazy, I found her at a
stop sign beyond any help.
Nicholai, bless his heart, ran to the close by animal shelter where I found
him safe and sound. That was also the first time I was at the shelter, we
had just moved here, and I was able to do some good there in the
following 4 years. So Ruby didn't die in vain for sure...

Thanks! :) He will be turning 3 years old next august.
-------
Too bad, poor Ruby :(
Rocky had heart problems, he was on medications like 1 year, and he was "fine", but one day he had a pulmonary edema and he was at the clinic like 3 days, he came back home but there was nothing to do, his heart was very bad, he died 3 weeks after that... He was 11 years old.
It's not for sure, but I think the disease may was the vet's fault, because he had an infection on his mouth and the vet take out some infected teeth without giving him antibiotics before the surgery, and the next month he started with the heart problems, maybe the infection on his mouth propagated to the heart...
Erika died of cancer, she was 9.
(sorry for my english)

Oh I can just imagine what you went through. I worked at the local animal
shelter here..small town, 16000 people, but 3000 animals a year are put
to sleep. Many because of illnesses and abuse, but mostly unwanted pets.
I had one dog, a malamute. He got sick when he was six months old,
pancrease failed, thyoroid failed and I ended up paying 100 dollars a month
for medication. When he was 16 months old, he started to attack everything
that moved, including people, so we had to put him to sleep. Turned out he
was half wolf...if I had know this I would have treated him differently with
nutrition etc...thinks like that should be illegal.
What are the laws in Argentina about wolves? Do you know?
Your english is great by the way :) .
Here is Hahiko:

No, i don't know. Unfortunately here there aren't too much laws about animals, I watch on Animal Planet that show of the cops from ASPCA who protect animals, and it would be great that here we have something like that, but the local politicians doesn't even care about people, so you can imagine how much they care about the poor animals...
I don't know, maybe the laws does exist, but unfortunately nobody cares...

That's funny, I'm watching Animal Cops as I was reading your post!!
Have it on all day lol.
I also work with the animal cops in my town here and I have to say there
are a LOT of people here that care, you just have to find them. You care,
that's a start :).
And that's the reason why I started this forum, to get the people that care
together...so thanks for being here :D .

What sweet babies Miss D and Shadow.
My dog Max is developing cataracts, but still does pretty well. Outside, at night, there are some things he has trouble seeing, but amazingly he can still see things I don't.

He might be going by the nose, not the eyes. It's amazing how well animals
can adjust to physical ailments. I learned a lot from that lately :).

That could be Miss D. There was one night I couldn't figure out what he was staring at, I kept squinting and squinting, looking in the area he was, finally I saw it. It was a dark colored cat. Maybe he was smelling it, I know he was looking directly at where the cat was sitting (across the street in the neighbors yard), it took me a long time to finally see what was there. lol

Ya, if you consider a newborn puppy: first the nose works, then the eyes, the
the ears.
