I wanted to thank you all for encouraging me with the tube feeding. I did it today for the first time on the 4 babies and it was really easy. They just swallowed the tube as if it was nothing and voila, full belly :smile29: .

Now I gotta figure out the poop thing with the adult bunny.

Good job! Glad you got up the nerve to tube them. It saves time and I think it is less stressful for the bunny (it is definetely less stressful for the feeder :) ). Good luck with your little tykes, how old are they?

It looked like they were just opening their eyes when I got them.

Didn't work with the special poo this morning...all pellets looked the same :(.

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww! Looks like their eyes did just open. They are a good healthy weight though, you can tell looking at them. They very well could have the good bacteria already. I would still try to get the number 2s though.

What if I don't have access to an e-collar. Any homemade collar ideas?

How are the bunnies doing?

Unfortunately 2 of them didn't make it. I blame that on myself! They had started to drink formula out of the bowl and I forgot to take it out, it got spoiled and they must have tried some of the spoiled stuff. :smile20:

But the other 2 are doing great!

Don't be too hard on yourself. Bunnies are very sensitive, especially at their age. Anything could have happened. Glad to hear the other 2 are doing good!

He looks like he is having alot of fun hopping around in that enclosure!
We have 14 bunnies that we were keeping for another rehabber over the weekend of the fourth. We enjoyed them but we lost four of them which was hard since we also lost four domestic bunnies, to make a total loss of eight bunnies in one week. Than our squirrel got an infection and one of our other bunnies, who is a nut anyway, broke his front teeth all the way off level with the gums. To sum it up I think you could say we had a bad week!:smile20:
Sorry about my rambling just had to vent! I am glad your two bunnies are doing well MissD.

Aaaw *huuuugs*. You sure have your plate full! :smile18:

Everything went fine the first night outside, everybody's happy. The police brought me 5 more ducks last night, domesticated ones, fresh out of the egg too. I might get another 2 survivors out of those..one has already died and 2 are sitting there with their eyes closed. I know I can't do anything about it, cuz the more I handle them, the more I stress them out, the faster they die.

But I so much appreciate the police actually taking time out and driving those ducks to me in a cop car..kudos! This is one big reason why I love this town! They still care here!
