She just came in. I named her Wendy. She was without mother and milk for
3 days and is dehydrated, has a nose bleed and is pretty thin. But she drank
the electrolytes real well and there is hope :):

awwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
there was a time when i was really tempted to rehab possums. of course, my mother would never agree to it, but i still thought about it hard. the woman in charge of possums in friends of wildlife called and said she had close to 100 baby possums, and that she wanted to dispatch them to people in groups of six! we hadn't been trained to raise possums, but still.....they're so darn cute. :D
keep posting pictures. i love to see wildlife. ;)

So far so good :). She's already climbing up the cage! Yesterday she couldn't
even stand up. She has a bit diarrhea though, but that's normal after the
introduction of the formula.

is that normal for squirrels, too? a couple of them in the spring had inexplicable diarrhea for two days, and then it went away. i suppose it could've been for a number of reasons, though...
keep those pics comin when you can! :D

So far I found it normal for every animal (except cottontails, diarrhea is
usually fatal). It's normal that they need to get used to the new formula.
I found that over 90% get the runs the first couple to three days. Even
the kittens.
Some have tough guts, as I call it lol..they don't get the runs at all.
For squirrels and rabbits I use Ensure Vanilla pure in the beginning. For
some reason that either cures the diarrhea in no time if they have it already.
If they don't have it, it prevents it from occuring.
What a shitty talk lol.
She's adorable! And it sounds like she's doing pretty good, good luck with her! :D

Thanks Mo, unfortunately she didn't make it. Her nose bleed got so bad.
I suppose she had internal injuries..
