hello!
I have now two robust wild female squirrels who came to me eyes closed, about a month apart. They have both been on their own completely now for two months. They come to my yard to raid my squirrel feeder -- and they both will take food from my hand -- but they scamper awy! Hard to believe these little ones hid in my bathrobe.
well that's what we are here to do -- give them a good start to be free.
this photo is of my second little girl. I've raised a half dozen opossum and three squirrel and am starting with bunnies.
thanks to all who labor to preserve our orphan wildlife.
they are building a home on a puny lot next to my house and of course, cut down a huge oak tree much to everyone's teeth gnashing. we should not wonder why we get orphans.

I took a look at your site..very nice! I see you also take in opossums.
Same here. Just got a baby yesterday. Thanks to the guy who picked her
up, bless his heart, she has a chance. Mom had passed away and the
vultures must have gotten to the rest of the babies..she was the only
one left.

80% of the squirrels I got in this spring were from cut down trees...I just
hate it when people put their own stuff above a life.. :( .

I heard that squirrels are not protected in FL..everybody can keep them,
is that true?

I'm in Texas by the way :).

your site is awesome! i wish i could rehab more than just squirrels, but we don't have the time or money or space for anything else. :?
