...But there was no where else to post. About 2 months ago my friend arrived home to find that his 10 month old silver fox was "missing". This fox is the full brother to mine and he is very much missed. He will be 1 year old on the 9th and any help to find him would be greatly appreciated. He is missing from Wonewoc Wisconsin. I will post pics as soon as I find some.

I'm not allowed to rehab foxes, my permit doesn't allow it. How did you get it covered on your permit..assuming you have one. Can't wait to see the pictures!

My foxes are my pets, I rescue "pet" exotics. In Wisconsin I don't need a permit to own my foxes but I do my best to set a good example for exotic pet ownership. We have a bad rep because of the irresponsible exotic owners, which I think is unfair because there a ton of irresponsible domestic pet owners but they don't go banning cats all over the US. Anyway my foxes are pets, the kits I sell will be pets though I have trapped and relocated several wild foxes. If I am to rehab wild one I'll have to call around and see what I need...Buddy (the missing fox) was also a pet, and a soon to be dad, we believe that he was stolen...

Aaah I see. I personally would prefer to leave every wild animal out in the wild in their native environment. I always have to control myself when I'm in a pet store and see a hedgehog for example, running around in circles in a tiny cage.
I grew up in Germany where they are native and seeing them in a cage is just not right and I can't help but feeling sad. But for me, keeping any animal in cage is plain wrong, with a few exceptions.
However, since I can't have it my way, I absolutely see the need for exotic rescues, but breeding and selling would be unacceptable for me. That would be nothing else than one of those pet stores I despise.
Having said that, please don't see this as a personal attack. These are MY convictions and I by no means intent to push them on you. You clearly love animals and I'm sure you are doing tons of good for the exotic pet owners.
I once in a while end up with an exotic myself, which I then can only find a new home for. Deep inside I'm waiting for a rescue Macaw which I probably would consider keeping, if he fits in. But I'd never buy one and support the breeding and selling of these birds, no matter how badly I'd want one.
That's where I stand. Again, nothing personal and I'm not saying what you do is wrong or bad...I'm just saying that I would never do it myself. I wouldn't go bungee jumping either, which doesn't mean I don't like people that do it, you know what I mean?

I completely understand and I don't take offense at all.
