Francis the gerbil

Francis was adoped for my mom's first grade classroom but I fell too much in love with her and so she stayed at my house for most of her life. She was a really good gerbil. You could pick her up and start talking to her and she would just sit there and listen to you.
One day, we noticed a bump on the tip of her nose. We didn't think anything of it, until it got really big.
Francis died in the summer of '08. She had cancer on her nose.
