Default Beautiful Butterfly

Lookie what I found hanging out on the side of our house this morning.

I think this beautiful butterfly was just out of the cocoon as he didn't try to fly away when I approached, as a matter of fact he is still hanging out on the side of the house. Another reason I believe he is just freshly out of the cocoon is that his wings show no signs of tattering etc.

Here is another pic taken with a Misty 120's pack so you can see just how big this guy is. When I first saw him I thought it was two butterflies making more butterflies. LOL

We don't see them this big that often, it made my day. I think I took about 20 pics trying to get a couple of good ones that weren't fuzzy. LOL

Oh my!! It's gorgeous! I think I'm going to save these for a tattoo reference.

Uggg Moths drive me nuts. They seem to delight in dive bombing me and when they get into the house my cats go crazy trying to catch them, anything no nailed down goes flying in their frenzy to catch the flying thing. lol

Is it weird that I love moths? I don't necessarily like them in the house, but even then, they don't bother me that much. I think they're very cute!

Nah you're not weird SnyperKat. Moths are ok, I've seen some really pretty big moths. I even like the little miller moths even though they drive me nuts when they get in the house.

Hello friends,
I like butterfly. All butterfly are beautiful. A butterfly is any of several groups of mainly day-flying insects of the order Lepidoptera, the butterflies and moths. Like other holometabolous insects, butterflies' life cycle consists of four parts, egg, larva, pupa and adult. Butterflies may have one or more broods per year. The number of generations per year varies from temperate to tropical regions with tropical regions showing a trend towards multivoltinism.Butterfly larvae, or caterpillars, consume plant leaves and spend practically all of their time in search of food.Thank you.
