Thanks for sharing that! The Dog Whisperer has an entire show just on
those dogs. He rescued 3 himself, got them fixed, rehabbed them and even
found the owners and was able to reunite them with their dog...I cried .

I have been through a flash flood where we had to sit 5 hours on the
neighbor's roof watching everything we owned being torn down the river,
including animals. I had 2 dogs on the roof with me and they flew with me
in the rescue helicopter. It wasn't as bad as Katrina in the big picture, but for
us it sure was.

This little lady saved my life:

after I saved hers..she used to look like this:

Ah yeah, I remember you posting about her in another thread, though I can't remember exactly which one.
She's such a beautiful horse, I am happy that you were able to rescue her. And no matter what, any natural disaster is bad. @_@ I remember in the winter '97, we had a nasty ice storm up here that snapped power lines everywhere and caused several million people to lose electricity for up to a month in some areas. Lots of people refused to leave their cold, unpowered homes because of their pets.. I don't blame them, considering safety shelters don't accept pets. Our Sasha was home alone for about 2 weeks but my mom and dad always drove back home every day to feed her, no matter how far away we were, hehe.
