Question Talking and singing birds

Does anyone have birds that sing or whistle songs or talk?
My cockatiels sing songs and talk a little bit. I have a pair of ring-necks that make bird sounds and skwark but as much as I talk/sing to them, they aren't learning any words or songs-they are from the same mother, born within a day or two of each other and will be three years old next March. We also have a quaker parrot that will be three years old next June and he doesn't sing or talk. Do you think the parrots are not quite old enough to talk yet or am I not teaching them right? When I say "talk" I mean talking in people words. Thanks to anyone with advice.

I don't know too much about pet birds, but I would say that they are as different in personalities, skills, and character as any other animal. Like I have a cat that doesn't purr at all while the others purr up a storm. I have a dog that does not bark much, compared to the others who seem to bark every time they inhale lol.

I don't get the feeling that it is something you are doing "wrong". I am not sure about the age as a cause though.

The birds talk to each other, I think I need to work with them more one on one. Sometimes, it sounds like the parrots are saying "hey" when I walk in the room.
